DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, September 4\, 2026\, Roadrunner Food Bank and the Coalition to End Hunger in New Mexico will convene a nonpartisan gubernatorial forum bringing together candidates for Governor of New Mexico to discuss food security in the state. \nThe forum will provide an opportunity for candidates to engage directly on the policies shaping New Mexico’s food systems and the communities most impacted by food insecurity. \nThe forum is designed to elevate public understanding of how food systems and food security intersects with agriculture\, economic opportunity\, public health\, and community stability\, and to ensure voters have access to thoughtful\, issue-based dialogue ahead of the 2026 election. \nThere are limited seats available. Despite that\, we are going to move ahead with Secretary Haaland on Sept. 4. We did record responses to our questions from Mayor Hull at the end of last week and that will be posted online once the in-person event concludes. \nThe event itself will be livestreamed as well as posted online.
