The Role of Employment in Housing Stability Webinar
Many Veterans with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or Substance Use Disorder (SUD) want to work, but employment is often left out of the conversation about housing stability. This webinar makes the case for putting work at the center. Speakers will discuss the wide-ranging benefits of employment and share effective, practical strategies drawn from their work with Veterans, so providers in housing, behavioral health, and employment services can better support the Veterans they serve.
After this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Explain how employment supports housing stability and recovery for Veterans with SMI or SUD.
- Identify effective employment practices for the Veteran population.
- Describe how to connect Veterans to employment services that fit their goals.
This webinar will be recorded. Certificates of participation will be provided to those who complete a post-event evaluation, but no CEUs are included in this event.
