CommonSpirit St. Joseph’s Children- Virtual Joyful Parenting Partnership

Description: The Joyful Parenting Partnership offers free, virtual home visiting services for first-time parents and caregivers in New Mexico. Families can enroll anytime during pregnancy or within the first two months after birth and receive weekly, voluntary visits scheduled to fit their needs. These sessions include prenatal education, postpartum support, guidance on infant development, breastfeeding assistance, and case management to connect families with medical, housing, food, and other essential services. All services are free, with no income requirements, and are designed to help families prepare for labor, delivery, and early parenthood, continuing until the child turns three.

Description:Through the First Born and More curriculum, developed right here in New Mexico, families can expect personalized support focused on their children’s growth and well-being. Home visits include conversations, activities, and guidance designed to strengthen parent–child relationships, build confidence, and celebrate your child. As an Explora program, families also enjoy hands-on, play-based learning experiences that make child development come to life through exploration and discovery.

Western Heights Home Visiting Program

Description: Our Home Visiting Program is here to support families with young children right where they feel most comfortable—at home. This free program connects you with a caring and trained home visitor who partners with you to celebrate your child’s growth, answer questions, and share resources that make parenting a little easier.

During visits, families can expect:

  •   Tips and tools for everyday parenting challenges
  •   A listening ear and encouragement tailored to your family’s needs
  •   Connections to community resources and services when you need them

Every family is unique, and our goal is to walk alongside you—whether you’re welcoming a new baby, preparing for preschool, or just wanting extra support as your child grows. Home visits are flexible, family-led, and focused on building confidence and joy in parenting.

YDI- Home Visiting

Description: YDI provides free home visiting services for families with children ages birth to 5. Home Visitors offer child development education, social support, and guidance tailored to your family’s needs. Visits can take place at home or in public settings, fostering a safe and engaging environment. Families are also encouraged to participate in monthly socializations featuring educational activities, crafts, family engagement tips, and health and nutrition information.

PB&J Family Services

Description: The NM Home Visiting Program serves families with children age prenatal-5 years. This service is offered to families in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties. This program focuses on parent education, child development, case management, and resource referral.

YDI (Child First)

Description: Child First provides mental health interventions and support services through a proven home visiting model that builds and strengthens relationships between caregivers and their children.

La Luz Family Center

Description: La Luz Family Center offers comprehensive in-person and virtual home visiting services for families with children from prenatal stages up to 4.5 years old. Their supportive programs are designed to promote healthy development, strengthen family bonds, and provide valuable resources to families in the community.

NAPPR, Inc. Tribal Home Visiting

Description: NAPPR Tribal Home Visiting provides home visiting services to Native American caregivers and their children. THV is a supportive service to Native American families living in Bernalillo, Cibola and Sandoval counties who are expecting or have children between the ages of 0-5. We offer culturally enhanced home visiting services to support caregiver and child health, early child development and family self-sufficiency. Services are delivered to families by a Home Visitor in a family’s home or other comfortable space.

Tresco: Day One Home Visiting Program

Description: Serving Doña Ana, Sierra and Bernalillo Counties, our Day One Parent Educators conduct tools and questionnaires to track children’s overall development and social emotional development. They also provide assessments for mother and caregiver which focuses on mental, social and emotional wellbeing. Families are connected to other community resources based upon their needs.

City of Albuquerque (CABQ) Early Headstart (EHS) Home Visiting Program

Description: Early Head Start (EHS) programs serve infants and toddlers under the age of 3 and pregnant women. EHS programs provide intensive, comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income families. The City of Albuquerque has been an Early Head Start grantee for over 20 years.

Learning begins at birth. The free Early Head Start child and family program offers:

  • Home-based and center-based services
  • Teaches parenting skills
  • Home visitation
  • Encourages family self-sufficiency
  • Comprehensive services including referrals
