CommonSpirit St. Joseph’s Children- Virtual Joyful Parenting Partnership

Description: The Joyful Parenting Partnership offers free, virtual home visiting services for first-time parents and caregivers in New Mexico. Families can enroll anytime during pregnancy or within the first two months after birth and receive weekly, voluntary visits scheduled to fit their needs. These sessions include prenatal education, postpartum support, guidance on infant development, breastfeeding assistance, and case management to connect families with medical, housing, food, and other essential services. All services are free, with no income requirements, and are designed to help families prepare for labor, delivery, and early parenthood, continuing until the child turns three.

Description:Through the First Born and More curriculum, developed right here in New Mexico, families can expect personalized support focused on their children’s growth and well-being. Home visits include conversations, activities, and guidance designed to strengthen parent–child relationships, build confidence, and celebrate your child. As an Explora program, families also enjoy hands-on, play-based learning experiences that make child development come to life through exploration and discovery.

Description: NAPPR Tribal Home Visiting provides home visiting services to Native American caregivers and their children. THV is a supportive service to Native American families living in Bernalillo, Cibola and Sandoval counties who are expecting or have children between the ages of 0-5. We offer culturally enhanced home visiting services to support caregiver and child health, early child development and family self-sufficiency. Services are delivered to families by a Home Visitor in a family’s home or other comfortable space.

Description: Serving Doña Ana, Sierra and Bernalillo Counties, our Day One Parent Educators conduct tools and questionnaires to track children’s overall development and social emotional development. They also provide assessments for mother and caregiver which focuses on mental, social and emotional wellbeing. Families are connected to other community resources based upon their needs.

City of Albuquerque (CABQ) Early Headstart (EHS) Home Visiting Program

Description: Early Head Start (EHS) programs serve infants and toddlers under the age of 3 and pregnant women. EHS programs provide intensive, comprehensive child development and family support services to low-income families. The City of Albuquerque has been an Early Head Start grantee for over 20 years.

Learning begins at birth. The free Early Head Start child and family program offers:

  • High quality care and education
  • Home-based and center-based services
  • Teaches parenting skills
  • Home visitation
  • Encourages family self-sufficiency
  • Comprehensive services including referrals
  • Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack

All Nations Home Visiting Program

Description: The All Nations Home Visiting Program serves children from

prenatal through 5 years old in a hybrid setting. The program works with families

to provide parent education, child development information, and connection to

community resources.

NAPPR Early Headstart Home Visiting Program

Description: The NAPPR Early Head Start (EHS) Home-Based Program is a comprehensive early childhood service model that supports pregnant women and families with children from birth to age three in their home environments. The program serves all eligible children and families in the community not just Native American children ensuring inclusive access to high-quality early learning supports. It provides weekly home visits focused on child development, parenting support, and school readiness, along with regular group socializations that promote family connection and peer learning. Grounded in the Office of Head Start guidelines, the program emphasizes responsive caregiving, health and safety, family well-being, and goal-oriented family engagement, empowering parents as their child’s first and most important teacher.

UNM CDD Parents As Teachers Home Visiting Program

Description: UNM PAT provide services to families with children from prenatal to age 5. They serve families who live in Bernalillo and Valencia counties. Depending on need, enrolled children and their families can remain eligible until kindergarten entry.

UNM CDD Nurse Family Partnership Home Visiting Program

Description: Nurse-Family Partnership is a free, voluntary program that partners first-time moms with nurse home visitors. When you enroll in the program, a specially trained nurse will visit you throughout your pregnancy and until your baby turns two years old. During these visits, your caring nurse will offer the knowledge and support you need to confidently create a better life for your baby and yourself.

Head Start Preschool Home Visiting Program

Description: Head Start Preschool home-visiting option provides free, weekly

90-minute home visits for families with children aged 3-5. Trained educators

deliver personalized child development education, support parent-child

interaction, and assist with family goals, health screenings, and school readiness,

often including twice-monthly group socialization events.

Nurse Family Partnership Home Visiting Program

Description: Nurse-Family Partnership pairs first-time moms with specially educated home visiting nurses for a rich and rewarding relationship that provides support, advice, and a foundation from which to build better futures for themselves and their babies.

Enrich the Kids Home Visiting Program (Doña Ana County)

Description: Enrich The Kids Home Visiting Program is a FREE, voluntary, family-centered program that supports parents and caregivers from pregnancy through age five or kindergarten entry. Through regular home visits, trained home visitors partner with families to strengthen parent–child relationships, support healthy child development, and build parenting confidence. The program provides developmental activities, guidance on child growth and learning, and screenings to help monitor developmental milestones. Home visitors work collaboratively with families to set goals, support school readiness, and connect them with valuable community resources such as health services, early childhood programs, and family supports. Enrich The Kids emphasizes relationship-based practice, recognizing parents as their child’s first and most important teacher, and focuses on building on each family’s strengths to promote long-term success for children and families.
