Nurturing Resilience Through Trauma-Informed Early Learning Care

NURTURING RESILIENCE Looking at Trauma-Informed Care through a Reggio Emilia Lens, presented by CoLab
Educators are invited to explore innovative learning strategies and the latest in brain research to support a strengths-based approach to trauma[1]informed care.
The implementation of trauma-informed care can draw inspiration from the best practices found in Reggio Emilia’s approach to creating safe, nurturing, and responsive learning environments built on strong relationships, multiple “languages” of learning, actively listening and observing, and empowering children by fostering choice. We will explore these best practices, learn simple regulation techniques, and engage in transformative art activities.
What to expect:
• Unpack trauma-informed practices within the Reggio Emilia Approach
• Hands-on arts activities designed to uncover a new understanding
• A network of support with early childhood community members
• 3.5 Teacher Training Hours
Space is limited. Please do not register if you cannot attend for the full 3.5 hours.
